Must like Golf...

Me: Hey Maggie let's go watch a show on TV before dinner.
Maggie: Ok mommy.

Flipping through the channels, I stop on CBS and am sucked into the beautiful views of Torry Pines and the Golf Tournament. After soaking in the sun and blue sky for just a minute... I switch the channel looking for Barney or something more interesting for Maggie to watch.

Maggie: NOOOOOOO!!! MOMMMMMYYYYY!!!! I want to watch GOLF!!!
Me: (in shock) Um, ok. Golf... as in the tournament on TV?
Maggie: Yes. Please.

So, she is sitting at her table, watching Golf on TV. For the past thirty minutes. Not moving. Not responding to my questions. Just staring at Golf. She is two years old. She just cheered when the crowd did. Dinner is ready and she is watching golf.

Another Pebble employee in the making! Dad: please save one of those tickets for the Open this year... I might know of a huge fan who would love to go with you :)

All I know is Yo Gabba Gabba got nothin' on Golf in this house!

It's a....

Girl! Found out today that baby #2 will be another little girl! Here she is...

Everything looked great on the ultrasound. They did note that she was measuring bigger than normal. We were not surprised considering Maggie was 10 1/2 pounds!!

John is a little frightened to think what our house will be like in 12 years with girls running around. He might have to take up playing golf afterall.

Capitola Fun

Crusing around on her wagon on Christmas Day.
Silly grins with Daddy. Could the weather get any better on Christmas Day? Beautiful!

Baba and Maggie on Christmas Eve all ready for church. We had a very poor showing at Church... did not even make it half way before a melt down. She also reached into my purse and turned on an iphone show... not a very good impression in the silent church!
Maggie & I on Christmas Eve. We had such a nice dinner (thank you John and Baba!) and were lucky to have some Air Force friends who are stationed in Monterey over for dinner. They were really impressed with the Reding family rendition of "The 12 days of Christmas" after dinner. I am not sure why, but everyone always seems to forget their line... is it that hard people!!? Perhaps it would help if we did the family sing along at the start of the meal next year!

Christmas Cookie Decorating

We have been very busy around the Smith house. Getting ready for Christmas, our trip out west, and of course eating the appropriate amount of Christmas cookies and candy! We baked all of the Christmas cookies today and spent the evening listening to Christmas music and decorating. She is so much fun!

Christmas Tree hunting at the Bohman's Tree Farm!

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a great Thanksgiving at the Smith house, had a lazy day, ate too much, and relaxed with the family. We took advantage of the warm weather (50 degrees and sunny!) on Saturday to drive to Indiana to "hunt" for our christmas tree at the Bohman's Tree Farm. There were tractors pulling families to their favorite tree picking spot, little Bohman's handing out saws and setting the families loose to go get their tree. Hundreds of people were enjoying the nice weather, the popcorn, hot cider and of course, the ferris wheel cooking hot dogs!

The tractor in the distance... We were lucky enough to have two of the Bohmans (or Eldridges, but close enough!) as tour guides on our tree hunt. Lilli & Owen are experts after all and knew how to pick out a perfect tree. John & Lilli on the Tractor heading out to the hills of trees.

We found our tree!

A twelve foot tall kangaroo?

Took the girls to the greene for lunch today. They are decorating for Christmas and the girls loved running around the giant Christmas tree. Outside were two 12 foot tall kangaroos... can't really figure out what they were doing there. Pretty sure they were not part of the manger!

Hanging out on the kangaroos foot... Maggie & Elizabeth

First art class

Evidence of Maggie's first art class is now hanging on our fridge. The amazing clay 'sculptures' are now the dining room table centerpiece. Pretty impressive don't you think? Well, I do... But obviously I am her mother.

Apple Picking

Happy Halloween!

Our little Mickey Mouse loves candy. She could not believe that people were just giving it away. Maggie & her friend Elizabeth jumped into the wagon and away they went. That is called trick o' treating in style.

The last house on our trip around the block! Jane's house!
Maggie & Elizabeth touring around Oakwood in their wagon. Notice Maggie's grin: everytime I have the camera out she does this crazy happy smile.

Cup of sunshine

Maggie was working in her kitchen and brought Daddy a cup of "shushine". When I can not understand her, I always tell her to show me what she is talking about. She walks over to her kitchen and points to the light button on her refigerator. "See.... Shunshine!"

Ahhhhh how sweet, she gave daddy a cup full of sunshine.

Picking Pumpkins!

Our only family picture from the day... Maggie was clearly scared of something spooky!
