Strawberry time at the Farm

As you all know, Steph is famous for her strawberries. There is nothing better than home grown strawberries and a cute little girl to pick them. Baba was lucky that her visit to Ohio was just in time to pick some strawberries!

One month

One month has flown by! She is such a great baby and we are really lucky a second time. No fussing, rarely cries, goes right back to sleep after we feed her in the middle of the night. She is making parenthood really easy on us. Big sister is doing well, but has quickly realized that life has changed.

ISR Graduate!

Since we are moving to a hot place with lots of pools... we decided to enroll Maggie in ISR swimming. The first few days were really tough, but then Maggie fell in love with her instructor Ms. Angela and was a super star student. She even graduated early! Maggie can swim! Our little graduate with her medal
The final test... to simulate falling into a body of water, Maggie had to swim with her clothes on. Shoes and all!

Girls and Daddy

Two weeks old. K is gaining weight, sleeping more, and being as cute as ever.

I swear she was smiling everytime he tickled her!

Katherine Marie Smith

We are finally back home, settled, rested, and have time to update the blog! We brought little Katherine Marie home from the hospital on Friday to a very warm reception from the best big sister in the world! Here are some pics of over the last week:

Maggie came to visit us in the hospital. We were staring at Katherine and I was answering questions about baby sister. One of her questions was is she going to move? Just as she asked, baby sister moved and this was Maggie reaction. She thought it was so funny how she could move her hands!

Baby Smith is here!

Baby Girl Smith arrived at 8:13 am, Tuesday, May 11th weighing 8 pounds, 2 oz via scheduled csection. She is beautiful and we adore her! She does not have a name yet, but we are getting closer to picking one!

Happy Mothers Day!!

Out to breakfast on Mother's Day with my favorite little girl! Only two more days until we have another favorite little girl!

We found a caterpillar at the Park. It kept us entertained for an hour at least! Can you see him?!? Between her hands? He was a little small...

Maggie just finished her first week of serious swim lessons. We had to stop on the way home and get a colossal cupcake. She only ate part of the icing... I think she was overwhelmed!

Maggie at 2 1/2

2 and a half years old: weighing in at 33 pounds, 37 inches tall, and 19.5 inches for her head. Our little girl is growing up! Too quickly. When she is not giving us grief that is typical of the terrible twos, she is darling. She is excited to meet little sister in a few weeks and tonight tried to feed her a snack through my belly button. She also kisse my belly and tells little sister goodnight. She is saying some really funny stuff lately and loves to sing 'her' songs... One of which is 'we are family'!


We are keeping busy trying to avoid the last of the winter torture:


More snow last week if you can believe it! But, it should get up into the 60s this week!

The Squadron Girls

As is the case with most fighter sqs... when the families of the pilots show up, so do all of their little girls. While the speeches were going on, the girls played hide and seek in the locker room. Maggie found her Daddy's locker and thought it was "really cool".

Winter... when are you going to end!??

We are ready for some sun. We are ready for the park. We are done with snow in the forecast. We are ready to walk outside instead of at the mall. We are ready to be healthy again (no more colds!).

Well, I am ready. Maggie still loves the snow.

Daddy finally came home! He brought pink roses for Maggie and red roses for mommy! Two lucky girls!

Snow when we woke up this morning. That is our street out front. It delayed Baba's departure by a day, so we are enjoying the snow!!

Must like Golf...

Me: Hey Maggie let's go watch a show on TV before dinner.
Maggie: Ok mommy.

Flipping through the channels, I stop on CBS and am sucked into the beautiful views of Torry Pines and the Golf Tournament. After soaking in the sun and blue sky for just a minute... I switch the channel looking for Barney or something more interesting for Maggie to watch.

Maggie: NOOOOOOO!!! MOMMMMMYYYYY!!!! I want to watch GOLF!!!
Me: (in shock) Um, ok. Golf... as in the tournament on TV?
Maggie: Yes. Please.

So, she is sitting at her table, watching Golf on TV. For the past thirty minutes. Not moving. Not responding to my questions. Just staring at Golf. She is two years old. She just cheered when the crowd did. Dinner is ready and she is watching golf.

Another Pebble employee in the making! Dad: please save one of those tickets for the Open this year... I might know of a huge fan who would love to go with you :)

All I know is Yo Gabba Gabba got nothin' on Golf in this house!

Girl! Found out today that baby #2 will be another little girl! Here she is...


Everything looked great on the ultrasound. They did note that she was measuring bigger than normal. We were not surprised considering Maggie was 10 1/2 pounds!!

John is a little frightened to think what our house will be like in 12 years with girls running around. He might have to take up playing golf afterall.
